March 1st - Here We Are

A full year? Seriously? I know that time moves differently in the age of Covid, but still. No chance it’s actually been 365 full days.

I was just telling my mom this morning that I’m busier than I’ve maybe ever been, so I can’t promise a new illustration with each post (which was what I attempted last year). Life is full of freelancing on top of a new(ish) full time position, navigating new and old friendships, and getting back to exploring Colorado.

Skipping March was simply not an option, even without my mom’s “It’s March 1st!” reminder text. This is either year 9 or 10 for me, and it’s become slightly self-competitive in the same way as me having to close every ring of my Apple watch. The actual act of slicing is great… and so is the fact that I’m able to say I’ve documented every one of my March’s for the past 10 years of my life. A lot has happened in 10 years, and I’m hoping a lot more happens in the next 10.

P.S. I’ll probably talk about her a decent amount, so here’s mother darling’s blog site in case you’re interested.

Happy slicing, everyone! So happy to be back. Here’s an illustration that I did for my company a few months ago of the flatirons in Boulder, CO.
