March 23 - Go Huskies!
My friend from college had a long layover in Chicago today so we met up for dinner at an amazing super casual thai spot. While we were catching up, my project manager texted me: Shoot. We both forgot about x. Can you get that done asap plzzzzz???
We had a lovely rest of dinner until she had to scoot off to catch her train back to Ohare. I drove home and immediately plopped onto the couch to go over the necessary revisions for a project that had slipped through the cracks of my several other much larger projects. And turned on the Uconn game.
I think this is the first game all March Madness that hasn’t been nail-bitingly stressful (at least for me, a person who tends to get fairly stressed over fairly low-stakes things). The low-stress was partially due to the fact that my bracket is already beyond busted - shoutout to my champions Purdue for losing first round - and partially due to the fact that I turned on the game when the score was about 75-58. My fingernails were safe.
I finished up the pieces fairly quickly, and texted my project manager (who is from Kansas City and was still probably whooping her lungs out after a very exciting, very nail-biting Kansas State win vs MSU). Thx. U da best.
Then I sat back, and with quite literally zero stress, watched Uconn win. I might go pour myself a glass of wine to celebrate.
What a happy little existence I had tonight.
